Whiny Wednesday: First-Class Car Seat

Bye-bye baby car seat! She's officially two, and the Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 Ribble Knit convertible car seat is our most favorite car seat in zee entire world. Not to be dramatic, but it really is. It's first class toddler riding at its finest.

little L. got lucky because I will say while little C.'s convertible seat was (and is...he's still using the lovely thing!) pretty nice, this car seat is luxe. (Yep, she's spoiled.) And it comes in gorgeous colors. Naturally, I chose Manhattan Black.

If I could only describe this cushiony goodness of the soft, knit fabric on this seat. It feels like a big comfy couch, or your favorite quilted cardigan wrap. It's really amazing. And the moment I set little L. in her new Maxi-Cosi, she was literally hooked. I wasn't sure what the reaction would be since kids don't often transition from old things too well (right?!), but really the minute she sat in the knit seat, she squealed with delight. (Not to mention, facing forward is a dream. That helps.)

The Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 is the only ride that goes from 14-85 pounds (which means it's a good thing she loves because she'll be in it for the next decade! I kid.) The seat is great though because it fits really well in the car. And while I was nervous about installing it because I had read installation reviews, no worries at all. If I can install a car seat on my own (with the manual, of course), you can def do it, gals!

You can even unsnap the seat pad to wash and dry it. And the harness and clips are all really easy to fasten and unfasten. They don't get stuck beneath her, which is a blessing when you're trying to get in and out of the car at warp speed like we so often do in the mornings.

Quite possibly one of my favorite safety features is the Air Protect technology, which ensures she gets protection where she needs it the most - her head. And funny enough little L. is just as in love with this feature because it really makes the seat so cozy!

I'm so thankful for our Maxi Cosi Pria 85 because I can feel secure knowing that she's secure (and comfy!) every time I put her in the car. Plus, isn't it chic?
