These days, I have several roles in my life. Copywriter. Blogger. Sister. Daughter. MOM. I have to say, that while I take pride in all of my roles every day, I'm pretty darn proud of my mom role. It's the most fulfilling (and hardest!) thing I've ever done in my life.
Raising two kids isn't easy, but at the end of the day, it gives me so much joy to see what they've learned (hopefully all good things from me!) and how excited they are to just be with me in even the simplest moments.
I love this necklace from Helen Ficalora because it's so simple in itself. It really explains the simple meaning of just being a "mom." We often try to complicate this role and pick at ourselves for not doing this and that right, or worrying and stressing about every little thing that comes our way. When really we should just remain as simple and beautiful as this dainty little necklace.
I'm making it my Mother's Day goal to remain in the present and not move forward or look back too much. It's my job to take of care these precious beings and I want life to just be simple. To focus on all the little, beautiful things that make me "mom." Lounging on the couch watching Disney, playing in the yard without socks on, practicing the alphabet slowly and sweetly, hugging and loving each other.
These are the simple things and I love it.
