In four exhilarating colors, The Neon Collection by Essie is a true breath of fresh air. I must admit, I am not a flashy, bright-hued kind of person. When it comes to nail polish, it’s usually baby pink, coral or (walking on the wild side here) a slightly muted shade of pink. Never would I have guessed to fall in the love with the neon family! For summer, they are so perfect and right on trend. And what adorable names!
First I tried “Bermuda Shorts” a pretty, but not too over-the-top shade of bright purple. It looked great with almost everything and didn’t seem too much for work. Whereas, I tried to hide the bright orange “Mini Shorts” under my gold peeptoes. Hey, I didn’t want strange looks from the boss! I liked it though because it seemed to make my feet look tan. I know, weird huh?
Right now I am wearing “Short Shorts” and am totally digging it. I guess I am sort of a pink girl at heart. This one is just a much flashier version than I’m used to, and I feel like such a rebel-watch out! Plus, you can always trust pink to go with everything, no matter how bright the shade. As for “Shorty Pants,” I’m still relucant to try it-it’s bright yellow, ok?? But, I’m thinking about splashing some on this weekend around the house, so I’ll definitely let you know the verdict. I bet it looks great with navy.
P.S. You MUST use the First Base base coat and Good to Go top coat! The base coat resists chipping (no lie-this polish has stayed longer than any other polish I’ve tried) and Good to Go helps it dry super-fast! I didn’t even have to sit there fanning my toes.
