Last week was my birthday, so of course I had to go shopping. I had a 15%-off coupon for my favorite store in town, after all. I found this super-cute black sequin vest from BB Dakota. Let me just say, I LOVE BB Dakota. If you haven't discovered this line yet, search for it now. You will love it, too. It's contemporary clothing at very affordable prices. Most stores I know that carry it around here mix it in with high-priced lines like Madison Marcus, La Rok and Geren Ford. I wore my new vest to my day job just last week (I'm the type who HAS to wear something new the immediate moment I buy it) with a white button down and jeans with my sleekest black heels to balance the menswear vibe with a little sophisticated flair. I tried to go for the sleeveless shirt underneath for a cool, laidback vibe (see above), but it just wasn't working for me. Sigh...I do love my new vest though; I think the sequins are a nice touch to an otherwise blase trend. Try it!
