Be a Haute Hostess

It's that time of year - present exchanging, cookie baking and just plain ol' entertaining. Me? I'm not a cook one bit. My idea of a dinner party includes cute little bit size snacks and freshly baked desserts I've picked up (all by myself, let me add!) from my local bakery and market. (Hey, it's a lot of work picking out the perfect petit four tray!). Needless to say, I've never owned my own apron, nor have I ever needed one. This past week though I discovered to my delight the cutest line of aprons you ever did see - Haute Hostess Aprons. And the owner, Elizabeth Scokin, is from my very own southern state (she's a former couture model). Tres chic!

I fell immediately in love with these aprons - and it works out. They're not meant for actually cooking at all, but rather entertaining - and making one show-stopping appearance after another! The different collections are named to mirror a designer collection of clothing and each includes an array of styles, from Glam It Up (check out the leopard-print Georgette style pictured here - designer Tory Burch absolutely loves hers, inspired by the fall runways) to Give Me Sugar (check out the McKenzie style - so perfect for holiday!). Party planner Colin Cowie says he "goes wild in the kitchen" in his apron. So very cute and perfect for the family fashionista (in my case, me!), and I can't wait to go wild in my very own.
