In honor today of Lisa Loeb tying the knot, I thought I would explain my new obsession with fake reading glasses. See, a couple of years ago, when I went to Boston to see a friend in a play, I tried on this fab pair of brown tortoise shell glasses. I won't lie, I looked good in them! Unfortunately, my friend had to coax me away from them reminding me I could see perfectly fine and that even the slightest prescription would give me a nauseous headache. Thanks for that, M! I would've regretted it. So, needless to say, I've been searching for a pair of "fake" glasses for years. Where do you find them? I longed for that serious librarian/editor chicster look for so long, and alas! I found a pair at, get this, Claire's at the mall. They're black, only cost me $8.50 and they're so great. I look like a complete and utter dork, according to my husband. But I don't care. I feel so smart and so editor chic. (And I don't get a headache from wearing them.)
