Close-up: The Hair at Marchesa

I had the opportunity to be backstage at Marchesa for Fashion Week and visit with the hair team with John Frieda. The trend? Healthy, natural waves so soft and pretty you'll want to recreate the look all year long. John Frieda's Root Awakening products were used to create that fairytale persona which perfectly emulated the Marchesa fall collection of pleated tulle and silk chiffon ruffles.

So how do you get the look? Lead stylist Harry Josh recommends these steps:
1. Blow out hair and create a severe part where hair lies best.
2. Using a curling iron slanted horizontally, manually wrap hair around the iron to create the appearance of natural waves and avoid an overly styled look.
3. Brush hair through to loosen curls, then slick down the side and secure with a bobby pin.
4. Aim the bobby pin at a 45-degree angle from the outer corner of the eye for chic hold.

And now you're on your way to creating your very own fall fairytale. So enchanting!
