Fashion Week Day 4: Carlos Miele (plus, Spanx & Kenneth Salon!)

This morning, I hopped out of bed early again (yawn!) to start the day with the Spanx suite at the Bryant Park Hotel (my hotel, so all I had to do was hit the up button and voila!). The Spanx girls were so, so nice and it was set up so cute with different sections for the Assets line (a slightly less expensive version of the Spanx - I'm crushing on the colored leggings!), the typical Spanx with lots of new styles (love the textured tights so much!!) and the brand-new Haute Contour line comprised of sexy, more expensive items meant to be worn to bed or for a night out! This new line will launch next month, so stay tuned for more info here.

Next, I hailed a cab to the Waldorf Towers at 50th and Lexington for my complimentary blowout by the Kenneth Salon (riding to the top of the towers to the 42nd floor felt like I was going to the top of the Empire State Building!). The finished product? A lovely and chic chignon up-do that has lasted me ALL day - and that's a great feat during these long days! Thanks to the Paul Wilmot girls for setting this up!

My first show this morning was Carlos Miele, and I managed to snag a fourth-row seat. It was simple sophistication all the way as the designer's Brazilian musician friend Max de Castro performed his music down the runway and the models strutted in gorgeous gowns. The mink coats (especially the dark grey and black one above) were a beautiful touch, and the red silk taffeta dress with light gold silk charmouse pleated bolero was absolutely stunning. While I don't really have many places to wear these dazzling numbers myself, more power to whoever does because everything presented was truly breathtaking!

P.S. Stay tuned for the next post (the Hilton sisters caused a pap frenzy!) - Jill Stuart.
