I'm obsessed with heels. Ok, there I said it! I would rather walk
miles in my stilettos than some boring ol' flats. So I always love going
to check out brands I haven't heard of because I just know I'm going to find something my closet can't live without. Enter,
Aruna Seth.
This British shoe designer makes the most elegant
and exquisite shoes I've seen in a long time. Not only is she gorgeous
and personable, but she's insanely talented (obviously). So much so, Pippa Middleton
chose to wear one of her designs to a Royal Wedding event. Eek!
To me, that's one of the biggest compliments you can receive! I met with
Aruna at the London Hotel in NYC to see what styles she has in store for us for
fall. I know we're all jumping into our peep-toes and wedges, but
seeing what fall has coming makes me extra happy!
Aruna uses a crystal butterfly as her "signature"
trademark, if you will. Just about every shoe in her collection has one
on it somewhere. Whether it's on a gorgeous blue wedding pump or a
removable strap on a sky-high bootie. She makes every design look like a piece of art. With
the Queen's Jubilee coming up, Harrods had all of the British shoe
designers design a pair of shoes for the event, and Aruna's were to die for! They're her signature wedges adorned with blue Swarovski crystals and the Union Jack flag on the back heel. They run about $4,000
and she was kind enough to let me try them on. Eek again! All I can say is if
I were the Queen, I would wear those beauties to every event possible!
Investment shoes, these most definitely are. But Aruna
uses high-quality Italian leather with all of her shoes and bags. So you
definitely get your money's worth with this brand. Now all you have to
do is decide which pair to add to your closet. And that will be the
hardest decision to make...
