How do we hairstyling-challenged gals get better-looking hair?
The most common issue consumers have is styling their own hair. It starts with making sure you're using the appropriate shampoo and conditioner because that will make a big difference [immediately]. Then you'll want to find a stylist who truly understands your hair and lifestyle to achieve the best result.
But, how important is a good haircut?
If you don't have the right haircut for your face shape and hair texture, this will make it very challenging to look after and style on your own. If you have the best haircut suited for your hair texture, it should be low - or even no maintenance - depending on how you like to wear your hair.
So what should we look for in a good hair stylist?
Your stylist should listen to what you like and dislike about your hair first, then find out your daily routine and what you do for a living so all these can be factored in (i.e. how much time you have to spend on your hair).
Then have a discussion together about what would be best for you so you can have your hair tailored to who you are and not just a celebrity haircut. You absolutely should bring inspiration pictures, but these should be inspirational so you can really have a hairstyle customized for you!
