bareMinerals Bare Pleasures Collection Kit

Get ready all you Bare Escentuals lovers. Coming in October, the company releases a multitude of new eyecolor shades, including adorably cute kits you will love. This weekend one of my best friends got married, and I was a bridesmaid. I have never been the kind to pile on much make-up, and I always regret it in the end. Why didn’t I put on more lipstick, or why didn’t I emphasize my eyes more, I always end up asking myself. This time I looked to my new Bare Pleasures collection (retail: $48) to help me out. I have been using the Bare Escentuals starter kit for about four months now, and honestly can say I can’t get enough of it. This limited-time collection is no different.
It includes nine silky, creamy eyecolors perfect for dressing up any occasion. You can use them alone or layer them using the “foiling” technique, which basically means getting the shadows wet for an even more dramatic, high-sheen effect. And did I mention the names are so adorable? For the rehearsal dinner Friday night, I layered the Nice eyecolor (a chocolate diamond shade) with the Rose Pearl eyecolor (a medium mauve pink) and used the Black Emerald liner shadow (the shade is just that-green). I loved the way my make-up looked that night and so did everyone else. The back of the box actually helped make up my mind on deciding shades because it said these two eyecolors would create the color ”I do.” Here’s a picture of me (on the right) wearing the collection. (Yes, the theme was “camouflage,” so that explains my outfit. I don’t usually prance around in that belt.)

And for the wedding, I used Bare Pleasures again. This time, I went with the Chardonnay eyecolor (a light butter shade) mixed with Bordeaux eyecolor (a purple merlot), and I used the Black Emerald liner again. It looked fantastic, if I don’t say so myself. It went perfectly with the merlot and mauve bridesmaid dress. Here’s a picture of it so you can see for yourself. The best part was at the end of the night my eyes weren’t irritated one bit because bareMinerals are safe for even the most sensitive eyes. They are 100-percent free of preservatives and other irritating fragrances.
