Celebs Heart Plaid

Looks like plaid is becoming the new black. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing (except when Mary Kate Olsen wears it with no pants as she did this weekend-yikes!). Plaid can be chic, but it’s tricky, I repeat tricky, to rock. You must not wear too many details with it. You must not wear it on your bottom half (unless it’s a dress and you have a figure similiar to Kate Moss). And you must not wear an ugly combo like rainbow colors. Keep it subdued, simple and casual, yet pretty as Jessica Alba does (minus the recent pigtails please). I used to have so many plaid shirts in high school it’s not even funny (say it with me-dork), which goes to show trends will eventually come back full circle. I did keep my favorite one though-a lime green and yellow Abercrombie & Fitch with three-quarter sleeves. That shirt has carried me all the way from high school to the present, which means one thing. Classics never go out of style, so when you choose your plaid, choose it wisely. You may just be able to wear it another 10 years or so.

P.S. I like this one from Forever 21. It sort of looks Jessica Simpson-ish with similiarities to the one Jessica Alba sported recently.
