Parisian Chic: The Beret is Back

Ok, total props to sister-in-law E. again! (you know, she's the one with the fabulous UGGs who inspired me to get my very own pair - yes, and my husband is sighing right now.) She's also the sister-in-law who just returned from France. Well, her Christmas present to me this year was a a super- (and I mean, super!) soft knit beret in my favorite hat color, purple. (Hats just look good in certain colors, ya know?)

I am loving the beret - it's a warm, fuzzy sweater right on my head. Who wouldn't covet something so wonderfully cozy and chic? And celebs like Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz and Rhianna are wearing them everywhere. Have you heard of the Eugenia Kim line of accessories? If you haven't, check it out here. They're a little pricey for a hat, but aren't they undeniably cute? Hey, accessories last forever unlike other items, so I say go for it. Lovin' the mustard yellow Madison style seen here.

And how exactly do you wear one? Long hair is a plus! Pull it back off of your forehead (as if you just threw it on!) and pull your hair forward. Whatever you do, don't wear it tight down on your head - it's not a toboggan! Now throw on your movie star shades and grab a latte, tres chic!
