Button-Up or Button-Down

 

Let’s get down to business! I know what you’re thinking, button-downs are for unimaginative and over-the-top conservative people. Well, you’re somewhat right (kidding!), but button-downs are popping up all over Hollywood right now on my favorite of-the-moment darlings like Kate Hudson and Lauren Conrad. And these girls know how to rock a button-down.

They don’t have to (and I mean ever-even at the office!) look stuffy. Wear a crisp white one untucked, and sport something with a little more style like Kate’s with the U-shaped design down the middle. Add some color like Lauren and wear one with a little stretch to show your figure. Unbutton a couple of buttons (after all, it is called a button-down!) and voila! I absolutely LOVE how she has paired hers with a pair of wide-leg trousers to counteract with the skinny shape of the blouse.
